CONSTABLE'S DEATH.

SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT.

VERDICT AT IXQUEST,

A verdict that death was caused by blood poisoning, following injuries, when his motor cycle accidentally collided with another motor cycle on the Oromalioe - Pakaraka Road, Bay of Islands, on February 12 last, was returned by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the inquest yesterday concerning the death of John Albert Elstone.

Elstone, who was a married man aged 4">, was the chief constable stationed at Ivawakawa. After the accident lie was removed to a private hospital in Auckland, where he died on March 3.
