BUILDING TRADES.
FEDERATION APPROVED. At a meeting of representatives of building trades in Auckland last evening a resolution was passed approving of the formation of a building trades' federation. Jhe delegates present; promised to pla.ee the question before their respective unions and to press for the immediate setting up of a council composed oi two elected representatives from each union,. Jt was suggested tlmt the proposed council should meet early in the New Year to draw up a constitution and rules for submission t<» a further meeting of the various union-?. The scheme is stated to involve about WXM) unionists. After the meeting had been addressed by several .M.JVs, a further resolution was passed expressing support for the Labour Government "in every progressive step it takes towards the attainment of its socialistic objective,"
