THIRTY YEARS' MIDWIFERY. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Among those present at the opening of the new wing of the Salvation Army'smaternity homo yesterday was Major Alice Robins, of Masterton, who, during 30 years of midwifery in Salvation Army homes, has ushered many thousands of babies into the world without loss of a mother or a child. Only on special occasions was the doctor called in, Major Robins attending each case personally. She is now on the retired list, but "willing and ready" to give her services again should t}iey be required.
