CROQUET AT HOME.

REMUERA CLUB FUNCTION. The lawns of the Remuera Croquet Club were crowded recently .when the club held its annual At Home. Mrs. Charles Webber received the guests, a large number of whom "were players from sister clubs in and around Auckland. Brilliant sunshine, lovely lawns and bright frocking made a gay scene. The pavilion was beautifully decorated in white and red. During afternoon tea Mrs. Webber presented Mrs. McGill, president of the Auckland Association, with a beautiful spray of flowers. The president also expressed tlie club's great pleasure at having at the party Mrs. Redman, the present champion of South Australia, and Mrs. Hamilton, vicepresident of the New Zealand Croquet Council. Mrs. McGill, on behalf of the Auckland executive and the visitors, thanked Mrs. Webber and the club for a very delightful afternoon. Progressive croquet was played and the prizewinners wore: A, Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Robertson; B, Mrs. Webber and Mrs. Stewart; hidden number, Mrs. Mullins.
