CHURCH LIFE IN WAIKATO.j "SPIRITUAL VIRILITY LACKING." ! (By Telegraph. — Own Correspondent. HAMILTON, this day. "Church attendance must be heartbreaking to the vicar and the vestry, but it does not appear to weigh with the majority of church people, whose lack of loyalty and nominal Christianity is to be deplored," state two Ngariuiwahia laymen in an outspoken article in the Waikato diocesan magazine. "The apathy permeating church life in this district is appalling, and presents a serious problem," tliev state. "Smug complacency and lack of spiritual virility is the dominant failing." They conclude by appealing to church people to cast off the apathy, which is akin to atheism.
