CRICKET FUSS.
CHRISTCHURCH AFFAIR. .> THE CAPTAIN'S AND OFFICIALS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) 5 . QHRISTCHURCH, this dlay: Developments in the senior cricket protest concerning the state of the pitch at Rugby Park occurred this morning. The competitions committee of -the Canterbury Cricket Association informed the captains of Lancaster Park and Old Collegians teams that the match commenced last Saturday and adjourned after three-quarters of an hour's play must be resumed at Rugby Park next Saturday.
Commenting on the decision, I. B. Cromb (captain of Lancaster Park) stated subsequently:. "Lancaster Park eleven will go to Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon, but as far as I am concerned if tho wicket still proves unfit for play we will leave the ground." Similar comment was made by representatives of the Old Collegians' Club.
