PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD.
Tlie Papatoetoe Town Board mot last evening, the chairman, Mr. W. J. Nicholson. presiding. Waterworks Truck.--The waterworks committee was instructed to make a recommendation to the next meeting of the board, regarding the replacement of the light truck at present in use by the waterworks.
Cycle Stadium.—Application for the use of the Papatoetoe Cycle Stadium 011 December 12, wre granted to the Auckland cycling centre.
Accounts.—The debit balance of the board, with accounts passed for payment, wa.fl jCSC*. The chairman, Mr. Nicholson, pointed out that the debit balance after t'he corresponding meeting last year was £2."1 R. which, he said, showed a very satisfactory position.
Assistant Traffic Inspector.—Mr. Nicholson reported that the local traffic committee recommended the appointment of an assistant to the traffic inspector for the Otahuhu. Papatoetoe and Manurewa areas. .After discussion the board decided that the time was not opportune for the appointment of an assistant traffic officer.
