LOVELOCK CARNIVAL

CHAMPION TO APPEAR.

HANDICAPS FOR SATURDAY. ( J. E. will make his final appearance on Ne\v*"Zeuiand athletic tracks 011 Saturday at Carlaw Park where the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association is staging an athletic carnival in his honour. During the afternoon Lovelock will give an exhibition run on the track in company with three local athletes. An excellent programme lias been arranged, for which record entries have been received. Three invitation races have been arranged, in which Miss Ida Campbell, New Zealand lady sprint champion, 11. J. Tyrie, New Zealand 440 yards champion, M. C. Baker, Auckland 44U yards champion, and W.
