I CASTOR OIL OR PRISON. NEW YORK, November 30. A telegram from Spokane, Washington. reports that as a result of increased arrests for drunkenness, a local judge has announced that castor oil will lie administered, under the supervision of a police surgeon, to second offenders. A corporation counsel states that the law demands that an offender be given the choice of the castor oil or imprisonment. A police doctor has ruled that half a pint will be the proper dose.
