The Coronation.
DIFFICULTIES OVERCOME
LONDON, November 30.
The "News Chronicle" says that all difficulties in the way of broadcasting and televising the coronation have now been overcome, and the British Broadcasting Corporation will shortly invite j radio authorities all over the world to j relay the broadcast gratis. Tests have convinced the technicians that the normal lighting of Westminster Abbey will be sufficient to permit of the entire ceremony being televised. The "Daily Telegraph" says the King has given permission for the filming of the interior of Westminster Abbey, including the < Coronation Throne and the ancient Stone of Scone, for a film entitled "Our Royal Heritage," which will be shown during the coronation festivities. The throne will be moved for the first time in centuries in order to facilitate filming. Pictures will also be made of Buckingham Palace gardens and the King's aeroplane. It is hoped that the film will raise £50,000 for the King George V. Memorial Fund.
