PIGEON FLYING.
NORTHERN CLUB. The Northern Racing Pigeon Club flew a race from Taihape 011 Saturday. Eightyfour birds, representing -10 owners, were liberated at Taihape at 8.43 u.in. and, favoured by a fresh southerly wind, tile leading birds covered the 20.1 miles to Auckland in the fast time of 4 hours 20 miniates. - But l'or running into a thunder storni when near home .' the birds would have recorded still, faster time.
