FOR CITY AKD PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland, Star *■ this aftern»"n the following soerHl weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far r.outh as Tauranga. Kaivnia and Hamilton:— Strong south-westerly winds slowly moderating. Weather, cold, squally and cnangesbit, with occasional showers, but gradually improving. Seas, rrugh to high on tha west coast and moderating on the east, but rough off shore. An intense deoression has remained centred near Chatham Island, w'lile pressure has besn rising over New Zealand with the amroach of an anti-cyclone frcm the Tasman Sea. FOR THE "DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 am. this day: The indications are for southerly winds, strong to qa!e in placss, slowly decreasing. The weather will probably prove squally, cold and changeable, with showers, but g-sdu-ally improving. Barometer, rising. Seas, rather rough to rouch oif shore. haurak: gulf conditions.
