THREE BOYS AND A GIRL.

WELLINGTON, this day

An epidemic of petty thieving in the Hutt Valley was cleared up to-day in the Children's Court at Petone when three boys and a girl were charged with breaking, entering and theft. Most of the charges were preferred jointly. Senior. Sergeant Wade pointed out that juvenile crime was very prevalent in New Zealand, and was causing the police a great deal of concern.

The girl and one boy were placed under the supervision of the child welfare officer for two years, one boy was committed to the care of the child welfare superintendent, and the third was ordered to go to an institution for eix months and to be under supervision for two yeare.
