SIR JAMES PARR. f THREE DIFFICULT YEARS. i TO ENJOY A HOLIDAY. I Looking remarkably well and with an appearance of mental alertness Sir James Parr returned to New Zealand by the Rangitata this morning, to use his own words —"to enjoy tliia summer in admiring the unrivalled beauties of my native land." "I ain not prepared, to talk politics," said Sir James. "1 went away to hold office as High Commissioner for one year and have stayed three years. They liavo been three of the most arduous years ok my life and I have been in the political world for something like a quarter oi a century. "I have come back for a holiday and to see my friends; and, of course, to have a look at the few properties that I possess and my mortgages which in future I must live on." Speaking of England, Sir James said that the country was more prosperous to-day than she had been for five years. "With the coming Coronation London will be busier than ever," he said. "Tho great shops and retail trades are preparing for a great season and after New Year I predict that nobody will be able to get a bed in' London for lova or money for Coronation week." iSir James has brought out a small car and he intends driving himseli about. He is contemplating a visit to Rotorua in the ne.ar future.
