LADIES' NIGHT.

TAMAKI ORPHANS' CLUB,

The Tamaki Orphans' Club held its ladies' night recently at St. Helier's Bay. The hall was packed and a most enjoyable evening was spent by all. The secretary, Bro. G. S. Grant, had everything working smoothly, and the programme steward, Bro. Bob Harris, provided an excellent programme, which was duly appreciated by a, most attentive audience. The stage was decorated in a scheme of black and gold. The orchestra, under the baton of Mr. Frank Poore, was in excellent form, and rendered selections from "Chu Chin Chow" with community selections. President Bro. W. K. Francis occupied the chair, and presented Bro. Frank Poore with a conductor's baton on behalf of the club.

| The 'Auckland Orphans' Club was represented by the president,' Bro. C. M. Croft, secretary, Brother Stan Clark; Devonport by the president, Bro. Leo Hartman; Onehunga, by the president, Bro. Jack Gillies, secretary, C. Osborne, and treasurer, Bro. Lcn Jones; Papakura, by the president, Bro. G. W. Heald, and secretary, Bro. Dunn. The following artists contributed to the programme: Messrs. Geo. Neill, Hadyn Murray, Gordon Fagan, W. Todd, R. Harris, Ernest Snell, Frank Poore, Geo. Warren, and R. Ruslien.
