GARDEN PARTY.

NORTHCOTE MAORI COLLEGE.

The Maori boys of St. Peter s Rural Training School at Nortlicote sang songs in their native tongue and danced a haka- at a garden party held there on Saturday afternoon.. Much inteiest was taken in the many useful articles in wood made by the boys in the carpenter's "shop." These included tea wagons, medicine chests, coat racks, small writing cabinets, step-ladders, and occasional tables. The Rev. Father 4.1 ink welcomed the gathering, and those present were shown over the school and its environs. Afternoon tea was served by members of the Catholic Women's League.
