AMBULANCE 'PLANE.

PROJECT IN AUCKLAND.

FUNDS SOUGHT BY CLUB,

Funds for the purchase of an aeroplane specially designed for the carriage of sick or injured persons are being sought by the Auckland Aero Club, states the annual report of the Auckland centre of the St. John Ambulance Association, which is lending its support to the project.

Designed to land and take off in constricted spaces, so that special landing grounds will not be necessary for it, the 'plane will provide a means of safe and quick transport for patients from remote districts, especially from the far North. The 'plane will remain the property of and will be maintained by the Auckland Aero Club and will be officered by the club's pilots.
