SECOND SUICIDE FOLLOWS

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAURANGA, this day.

Following the tragic death of an 18-year-old Maori girl, Heni Ohia, on Thursday, as a sequel to her grandparents refusing to allow her to marry a young 'Maori, the man concerned, Tokio Webster, committed suicide last night by poisoning. He left a letter stating that he wished to be buried with Heni. An inquest is to bt held this afternoon. A message from Tauranga yesterday stated that the girl went to a dance at Waitao on Wednesday, and was apparently quite happy. She wished to marry c. young Maori, but her grandparents would not give consent. On Thursday she rose at (i o'clock, but did not do her customary work, appearing upset. About S o'clock the girl was in pain, and when she .showed no signs of recovery during the mo-inng u doctor was called. The girl, however, died before the doctor arrived, appa'eiitly as the result of poisonliij.
