LOVELOCK IN SOUTH

VISITS WAITAKI HIGH SCHOOL (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, Friday. J. E. Lovelock, who spent the day in Oamaru prior to going to Dunedin, was tendered a civic reception in the Opera House. The Mayor, Mr. M. F. E. Cooney, presided, Slid together with Messrs. J. Rodman, chairman of the Waitaki County Council, and R. E. Dimick, representing the amateur athletes of the district, spoke of the distinction Lovelock had attained in the sphere of athletics.

In the morning Mr. Lovelock visited the Waitaki Boys' High School, where lie addressed the boys, touching on many aspects of physical training and competitive sport.
