CANTERBURY PRODUCE.

POTATO SEASON CLOSES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) C'HRISTCHURCH, Friday. Apart from further firming in wheat the grain and produce markets have been very dull this week. Potatoes are finished for the season, as all markets now appear to be plentifully supplied with new season's stocks. There arc still fair quantities of southern potatoes available in Auckland, and it is probable that very low prices will have to be accepted to clear them. There appear to be 110 buyers. Continued buying of graded wheat with a good baking score for milling has further hardened the market for feed wheat, and graded is now worth 4/8. f.o.b. Undcr-grade is about 2d away and commands fair inquiry. Oats arc very firm, partly because stocks are decreasing rapidly and partly because there is a good demand for oats of milling quality. The small seeds trade continues steady, but without any great strength.
