STATUE'S BIRTHDAY.
i FRANCO-AMERICAN LIBERTY. NEW YORK, October 29. The Presidents of the United States and France, the latter by international radio relay, joined in celebration of the 50th birthday of the Statue of Liberty. The principles of freedom of the two nations were rededicated, M. Lebruu expressing his assurance that their friendship .had been strengthened through the years. The American and French flags were flown together in New York during a day of pageantry. • !
