RICH WAIKATO LANDS.
BOUNTIFUL SEASON EXPECTED. NEW RECORDS FOR 193G-37. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this clay. Killings of fat stock for export in the Waikato are expected to reach a new record this season. Prime young cattle for the chilled beef trade are keenly sought, while a satisfactory lambing season will keep the abattoirs busy. Fairly regular shipments of chilled beef have been dispatched in recent weeks, but the rapid growth of pastures is accelerating supplies. At Horotiu last week a line of 130 head of prime Waikato cattle were killed and treated for expoi-t as chilled beef. Waikato lambs are leaving for the British market later this season.
