MEETING AT HASTINGS. The annual meeting of the Waipawa Racing Club will be held at Hastings on Holiday. The betting will be on the single pool system. Since coming to Ellerslie some weeks ago, King Neptune has not been overtaxed, but he is making good progress and looks well. This three-year-old comes from a successful racing family, as he is by Tidal from Queen March. So far King Neptune has never raced, but lie looks the part and should eventually develop into a useful performer.
