Athletic and Cycle Club luis arranged a complete programme of athletic, cycling and held events in connection with the Labour Day , celebration function, to be held at tlie Domain Cricket Ground on Monday, commencing at 2 o clock. ■, Good nominations were received, one cycling event having attracted 35 entrants. *A fine challenge trophy, the Hwij Holland Memorial Cup. will be held tor tlie season by the winner of the steepleehane. OVER 100 GIRLS TO COMPETE. 1 The Auckland Y.W.C.A. will hold a sports contest during Labour at which teams from Dunedin, Wellington and New Plymouth will compete against Auckland teams. Altogether about 70 girls are expected from the South. These, with the Aucklanders. will make a total of well over 100 competitors.
