WRESTLING

TO-MORROW NIGHT'S MATCH. (

The Auckland Wrestling Association has secured for Saturday night one of the biggest attractions 011 the Dominion Union's card of prospective fixtures at the present time—Ed Don George in a return match, against Bob Kruse. Before these : two met at Wellington this week it was recognised that in Kruse George would be meeting his most serious opposition so far, a fact which was proved right up to the hilt when the men came together. Taking the ring perfectly fit, and throwing everything he had into his performance, Kruse extended the former world champion to the full all the way, and the decision in George's favour at the finish was one which was the subject of a keen controversy. Apart from the outcome the match resulted in What was probably the fines'' display of wrestling ever seen in Wellington. Two evenly-matched matmen, both of whom had proved their worth both a« professionals and as amateurs, tried everything they had in their wide repertoire of holds, and the crowd's interest was keenly maintained all the way as the advantage went first to one side and then to the other. The return bout will give the local public an excellent opportunity of assessing George's chances against McCready, and is bound to feature even keener rivalry than was the case when they first came together.
