DOOR ALREADY OPEN.

* N.Z. Congress and Air Services.

BRITAIN'S PREPARATIONS. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, October 7. The "Daily Telegraph," commenting on the Chamber of Commerce parleys in New Zealand, in regard to air services, says the British Government might reply that the congress was knocking on an open door. The good deal asked was already in a fair way to completion. Ground organisation for swifter and more frequent services to the Cape, India and Australia would be ready before long and lit every night. "The congress naturally hopes for more than twice-weekly services," adds the paper, "but daily flights are jiot a practical proposition at present. "When planned services are running, Empire mileage will surpass even the American."
