OVERLOADED LORRY.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) J TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday. ; Smith Brothers and Boryer, Ltd.; sawmillers, of Aroliena, in the Magistrate's Court to-day were charged with- overloading. Defendants' counsel said that the firm paid local bodies royalty total-1 ling £550, so they did not suffer. The i magistrate said the agreement: .entered into must be complied with. Overloading damaged roads, culverts and bridges : which must be repaired out of public '■ funds. The excess load was 30cwt, conHtituting rather a too great overload. AI . line of £3 and costs 10/ was imposed. ) j
