TESTING NEW TOTE.
An official trial of the Julius totalisator at Trentham will be given for the benefit and entertainment of club members and friends only on Saturday ifternoon. The official opening will be performed by the Prime Minister, Rt.. Hon. M. J. Savage, and it is the intention of the club to have a proper parade af horses, one for two-year-olds and another for older hoises, and to sell tickets as for an actual race, no cash, of course, changing hands. Members and the official visitors will also be entertained at noon tea in the stewards' stand. Entries for the trial gallops, three furlongs for two-year-olds, and five furlongs for the older horses, closed to-day.
