BOOKMAKERS FINED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Wednesday. Fines of £25 and £15 respectively were imposed in the Police Court this morning on Robert Ferris, a hairdresser, and Ernest Francis Rudd, a confectioner, both of Blenheim, on charges of using premises as common gaming houses. The prosecutions were the result of a police raid on Saturday when betting material was discovered. Both defendants admitted carrying ou the business of book?v "'Kers.
