TAURANGA HARBOUR BOARD.
(By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Tauranga Harbour Board the chairman, Mr. A. J. Mirrielees, and the secretary, Mr. C. Lowe, were appointed as representees on the -Bay of Plenty committee recently set up in connection with the Auckland provincial centennial celebrations. Details were given in regard to the improvement of the town wharf, a P tion of which is to be put in order and leased to the Borough Council. It was expected that this work would be completed by the latter part of December. The "harbourmaster, Mr. T. A. Dickson, stated that he expected to have Omokoroa wharf reconditioned and ready for use by the coming holiday season. The Borough Council advised that it was arranging various committees to study and promote its town planning scheme, and requested the assistance of the chairman of the Harbour Board on a committee.
