WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AlfD PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate westerly winds, freshening, and later reaching gale force in places. We&ther fair to fine, with moderate temperatures, but later scattered rain probable:. Seas slight to moderate, but risingioli west coast. A l -series of rather intense depressions! of the westerly type is crossing the South' Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand, wlule pressure is still hi<di in the Nortli. - For the Dominion. For 24 hours, from 9 a.m. to-day:— The indications are for moderate westerlies, later freshening to gale in places. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy I weather; later scattered rain probable. I Barometer unsteady with a falling tendency. Seas moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the- Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, sputh-west, moderate; sea, smooth; Weather, fine and clear with a few scattered clouds; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
