TELEVISE TESTS?
HOPES NEARER REALISATION. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 6. Hopes of television broadcasts of the cricket Test matches were brought nearer realisation by the British Broadcasting Corporation's achievement in bringing to Fleet Street golf lessons given by Archie Compston on a miniature course at the television station at Alexandra Palace. The scenes were depicted clearly on Fleet Street receivers and even the sound of the impact of club on ball was perfect.
