STUD RED POLLS. AXXUAL, SALE AT FEILDIXG. Buyers representative of all parts of the xNorth Island were present at the Feilding saleyai ds yesterday, when the sixth annual sale of stud Red I'oll cattle was held. The demand for bulls was rather disappointing, but this was largely due to the condition and quality of a number of the animals. For females the inquiry was well sustained, and the prices ruling were in accordance with quality. A proportion of the offerings showed type, condition and quality, but many of them could have done with more condition. Taken all round the demand was very good, the cows and heiieis particularly meeting a responsive market.

TAUMARLXUI, Tuesday The large yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs at the Taumarunui stock sale to-day attracted buyers from Raetihi, Ohuru, Matiere, Waikato and Te Kuiti. and at times there was spirited bidding for sheep and store cattle.

\oung cattle sold well and a pen of Shorthorn heifers made £4, while yearling steers made from £4 5/ to £4 12/. The best ewes and lambs made £2 4/6 and ewe hoggets changed hands at 38/. Mixed-sex hoggets made up to 26/1, and b.f. hoggets sold at 17/2. The large yarding of pigs attracted plenty of competition, and there was a total clearance at prices in advance of late rates, due to the fact that the dairying season is now in full swing. The sale was u particularly good one, and although the dairy cattle were hard j to quit there was practically a total clearance of this class of stock, a large number of cows going to the Waikato. Pigs.—Stores, 16/, 17/, 19,/, 21/6 to 22/6: good weaners, 12/6, 13/4, 14/, 16/6 to 17/6; small weaners, 8/6, 10/, to 11/6; porkers, 26/6 to 30/; baconers, 28/ to 38/; empty sows, 26/; sow and suckers, £2 14/. Sheep.—Fat wethers, 29/ to 32/6; far, ewes, 30/ to 31/; m.a. ewes with lambs, 38/6, 39/6 to £2; ewes, with 100 per cent lambs, £2 3/10 to £2 4/6; four-tooth ewes, 33/4:' ewe hoggets, 38/; m.s. hoggets, 26/1; b.f. hoggets, 17/2. Fat Cattle.—Cows, £5; heifers, £5 2/; runners, £3 13/.
