WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawliia a"" Hamilton :• — Light to moderate south-west to westerly ■ winds, veering gradually to north-west or north. Weather for the most part fair to line, with mild tern* peratures, but clouding over to-morrow, and scattered rains developing. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cvclone is now centred over the northern portion of the Dominionwhile a fresh depression is located o\cr the south-west Tasman Sea, and 1 3 advancing eastwards. Forecast for the Dominion. For 2-1 hours from 0 a.m. this day: - The indications are for moderate westerlies. Tl'ere is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but a few isolated showers later. The barometer has a rising tendency. .Seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south, light; sea smooth; weather, line and sunny, with scattered clouds; visibility good; barometer rising.
