CANADIAN CHALLENGER IN

TOKYO MARU SAILING.

I The Montreal-Australia-Xew Zealand Line steamer Canadian Challenger, 5439 tons, in charge of Captain Wilson, j arrived this morning from Napier for final loading here. She is due to sail for New York, Boston and Montreal, via Panama, on Monday afternoon. The smart Japanese motor cargo ship Tokyo Maru, which arrived from Japan, la Australia, yesterday, will complete the discharge of Auckland cargo and sail for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day. She should make a fast passage down the coast. The Shaw, Savill Company s steamer Tamaroa, 12.554 tons, in command of Captain Dawson, left Wellington at 0 o'clock this morning for Auckland for final loading for Southampton and London. With the present fine weather on the coast she should put in an appearance about 8 o'clock to-morrow night. She is due to sail on 1 riday. The Canadian Highlander, 5370 tons, commanded by Captain Robertson, will arrive from Montreal direct to-morrow aaul berths at the Prince's wharf.

Mariposa left for Sydney and Melbotirne shortly before 0 o'clock last evening in continuation of her voyage from San Francisco. (H. and M.)

Ranginui, 158-ton motor vessel, arrived

this morning from Glasgow, .via Aden and Singapore, after a voyage of 105 days. She is in command of Captain Harry Burgess, of Kohimarama, and comes into port in good order. (Geo. Niccol.)

The Union Company has received advice that the Orient liner Ormonde, which caught tire when she was proceeding from Melbourne to Sydney, will leave Sydney for London on October 10, her scheduled date. REYNOLDS REPORTS. The' British steamer Reynolds, with a cargo of guano from the Seychelles, reports to Messrs. A. S. Paterson • and Co., Ltd., local agents, that she expects to arrive on October 12.
