TO-DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. MORE SALES PUT THROUGH. PERPETUAL FORESTS DECLINE. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. A much-improved volume of sales was put through oil Exchange this morning, when a wide range of business covered most sections. A notable feature was the appearance on the sales list for the first time in several months of Perpetual Forests shares, the price showing a substantial reduction to £2 12/3 in the interim. Another feature was the first lociU business in Coles rights to the new issue, these bringing £1 15/6, with further sellers offering at that figure. An odd parcel of Huddart, Parkers sold cheaper, at £1 14/6. with more wanted at the same price. Canterbury Frozen Meats improved by 5/6 since last week. Breweries eased. New Zealands and Tooth's were on offer at £2 11/10 and £2 15/6 respectively, with buyers at £2 11/6 and £2 14/10. Activity in the miscellaneous issues sawColes remain steady and Broken Hill rights lose a point. Wilcox, Mofflin, on the first sale ex 1/ dividend, relapsed more than was expected, by 1/5. Kauris were firm, and Zincs (ord.) moved up bv 2d. Quotations eased for Dunlops. Hume Pipes (Australia), ex dividend, were on offer lower, at 18/9. In the mining section several issues changed hands at late rates. Mount Morgans, after yesterday's brief spurt to 14/10, sold at the more recent level of quotations, three parcels bringing 14/1.
