FIRST SPRING LAMB.

SELLING IN SHOPS. PRICES ANNOUNCED TO-DAY. Yesterday more than ten times as many prime spring lambs were sold at Westfield than at any previous sale this season. As a result a large number of Auckland butchers to-day have lamb on sale in their shops, for the first time. In view of this the Master Butchers' Association to-day announced the rates at which spring lamb will sell—forequarters 1/4 a lb, loins 1/0, hindquarters 1/6, and legs 1/8. These prices are likely to remain steady, it is stated, until the export buyers begin to operate.
