POET WAXES LYRICAL.
IN PRAISE OF MUSSOLINI. LONDON', September 30. Newspapers in Rome, reports "The Times" correspondent there, publish a lyrical message which Gabriclle d'Annunzio has sent to Signor Mussolini, whom he describes as "unconquerable and always equal to his destiny." Then the poet says: "O, comrade, do not sully yourself by turning toward the stinking sewer of Geneva. Stand firm, repressing your calm hilarity." He concluded by saying: "Loaded with years and solitude, I wish to die for the new-old Italy."
