"SMELLIES " NEXT?
ENGLISH FILM INVENTION.
LONDON, September 30,
After seven years' research, two unemployed ex-servicemen have invented a process for adding odours to talkingpicture apparatus. It is displayed at the Inventions Exhibition, and is described as an "odourising device for films." The inventors claim that it can provide smells to suit any scene thrown on the screen.
PROPERTY ABROAD.
THE ELLERMAN ESTATE. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, September 30. It is understood that there is still considerable property belonging to the estate of Sir John Ellerman abroad which has not yet been valued. The estate, therefore, may finally be proved for a value in excess of £37,000,000.
