EI It ST ROUND EOH TITLE. XEW YORK, September 29. In tiie first round of the national women's golf championship, at Summit, New Jersey the favourites won their matches. Miss Maurven Orcutt Crews boat Mrs. Ilenrv Dietrich. G and 4; Miss l'atty Berg beat Miss Eva Sliorb, one up. NORTH SHORE CLUB. The second round of the North Shore Golf Club's championships will lie played 011 Saturday. A bogey match will ' lie arranged for those not taking part in the chain pionsliips. GLENDOWIE CLUB. A medal handicap will be played next Saturday by members of tiie Glendowie Golf Club. PAPAKURA CLUB. Members of the Papakura Golf Club will play a medal round in conjunction with the final rouml of the eclectic competition on Saturday. Partners will be arranged at the clubhouse. WAITEMATA CLUB. A medal match will be played on Saturday afternoon by members of the Waitcmata Golf Club.
