HONOUR TO BRITAIN.
Altitude Record Beaten by 1300 ft. EXPERIMENTAL 'PLANE. (Received 0.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 29. , The Air Ministry announces that a Royal Air Force experimental high altitude aircraft, piloted by SquadronLeader Swayne, reached a height of 49,967 feet, beating the world record of 48,698 feet.
