COLLAPSE IN STREET.
DEATH OF WATCHMAN. Collapsing in the street on Saturday afternoon, Mr. George Smith, aged 74, died shortly after he was taken to his home in Church Street, Penrose. Mr. Smith, who was employed as a watchman at the Southdown freezing works, was seen to fall by the roadside and died before the arrival of Dr. A. L. de B. Noakee, of Oneliunga.
