EPSOM METHODISTS.
SILVER JUBILEE AFTERNOON,
In connection with the silver jubilee of the church, the Epsom Methodist Ladies' Guild held a hostess afternoon this week. The hall was charmingly decorated in tonings of deep and pale yellow with great bowls of lilies everywhere. The tea tables were arranged with silver vases filled with Iceland poppies.
The president. Mrs. Patcliett, welcomed the guests and a musical and elocutionary programme followed. Songs were given by Mesdames Cameron, Knight and Court, elocutionary items by Misses Edna Craig and Hendra, and a piano solo by Miss Merlvn Morris. The .accompanists were Mrs' L. Jones and -Miss Peak. A special thanks offering 'produced over £40 toward the jubilee effort for the reduction of the church debt.
Hostesses were Mesdames Ainbury, Sinclair, Boyce, Mitchell. McMiken, Keid, Matthews, F. Jones, Steele, Soustar,' Clark, Farland, L. Jones, Beavis, Knight, Scrivin, Moodie and Miss Pascoe.
