AN UNUSUAL CEREMONY. —The hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the first ascent of Mont Blanc on August 8, 1786, by Jacques Balmat and Dr. Paccard, was celebrated by a Mass at the Fallot Refuge (4362 metres high) in memory of alpinists kdled on Mont Blanc.
