In the matter of The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and Amendments thereto and Regulations made thereunder, and The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and Regulations made thereunder, the Body Corporate known as the Chairman, Councillors and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata hereby gives notice, in terms of Sections 9 and 10 of The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1920, that it proposes to engage in the following undertaking, which it is duly authorised to do by law and by virtue of a resolution o£ the Local Government Loans Board sanctioning the loan proposal, passed at a meeting held on the 23tli day of June, 1936, and being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of the ordinary revenue o£ the Council,-pro-poses to raise a Special Loan for the purpose of: — 1. Culvert, Castor Bay Creek ... £750 2. Improvements, Campbell's Bay foreshore £ 300 3. Recreation Ground. Culvert and Seawall at Mairangi Bay ... £2250 4. Pier, Bathing Shed and Seawall at Brown's Bay ...... £ 3000 £0300 The total sum to be borrowed is £ G3OO, in respect of a loan to be known as the Takapuna Riding Foreshore Improvements Loan, 193G, at a rate of interest not exceeding £3 10/ per centum per annum. The term is for a period of 25 years, with a sinking fund of not less than £2 10/ per centum per annum. The proposed security for the loan is a Special Rate of ONE FARTHING in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Takapuna Riding of the County of Waitemata — a legal subdivision. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which the Loan is proposed to be raised, and also the cost ot" raising the Loan, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the Loan. A POLL of the Ratepayers of the said Takapuna Riding will be taken on the above proposal on the 23rd day of September, 1936, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., at the following places:—County Offices, corner Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland; Brown's Bay Progress Hall: Albany Coronation Hall; Presbyterian Hall, Castor Bay; Mairangi Bay Hall; Hodding's House, Torbay.
