INVALID PENSIONS.
May I endorse '"Disabled Miner's Wife's" opinion? As she says, the pension is less than the old age pension. It is tlie same with the invalid pension, which is to be only 15/ a week each, £1 for husband and 10/ for tl'e wife. An old age pensioner is often able to earn a little, I know some who do, and yet a man who is forbidden to work and would die if he did and whose only hope of living is to keep to an expensive rigid diet only gets £1 and, as I previously mentioned, 10/ to keep a semiinvalid wife. The pensions are not in accordance with needs. Good luck to the old age pensioner if he or she can add a little to their pension, but at the same time it's pretty hard on the invalid who can't or mustn't work and everything rising in price. !
