PRESENTATION.

The members of the office and outside staffs of the Auckland and Snrburban Drainage Board assembled in the board's office on Saturday to express their good wishes to Mr. E. T. Walker, on the occasion of his retirement from the board's service.

When presenting Mr. Walker with a barometer and a case of pipes on behalf of the staffs, Mr. H. H. Watkins, engineer and secretary of the board, congratulated him on the excellent record of service, extending over a period of 22 years, during the greater part of which time he held the position of foreman in charge of the main outfall works at Orakei.
