FANCY DRESS DANCE.

ONEHUNGA R.S.A,

Over 400 guests were present at the annual plain and fancy dress ball, held by the Onehunga and District R.S.A., in the Foresters' Hall, Onehunga. The hall was tastefully decorated by members of the executive, with bunting, streamers, fairy lamps and Chinese lanterns, and along with the multi-coloured dresses of the dancers provided a pretty spectacle. The prize-winners were as follow:—Tiny tots: Joy Harrison (fairy), Graham Colhoun (strawberry). Children under six: A. Eustace (paint box), R. Hollings (Tex Doyle), L. Miller (Dick Wliittington and his cat), C. Smith (bedtime stories), G. Grey and F. Griffiths (lady and sailor). Children six to 14: J. Hazleman and D. McLean (woollens), J. Hollings (Grannie 'Arris), B. Bellingham (Victorian lady), B.Johnson (Indian). Adults: Mrs. Coon (hot water bag), Mr. J. Sibbin (footballer), Miss M. Shelley ("I'm a Corker"), Mr. W. Gledhill (aeroplane), Mrs. Jacobs (absent-minded professor), Mrs. Miller (Sandy McKie), Mrs. Sibbin (charlady), Miss P. Gibb (Father Christmas). Amongst those present were: Mesdames Warrington, Miller, Farrell, Bellingham, Dilly, Woolf, Collins, Buckley, Catt, Haskell, Vallely, Mimainen, Fletcher, Neville, Andrews, Love, Hollings, Douglas, Glow, Armor, Shelley, Knox, Jacolis, Gibb, Griffiths, Grey, Keegan, Lipscombe, Gow, Ross, Watkins, Phillips, Collioun, Newman, Hall, Killip, Matthew, Coon, Johnston, Patton, Garside, Shaw, Smith, Recce, Bindon, Albon, Tafield, Jamieson, Montgomery, Harris, Ford, Sibbin, Blockley, Misses Knight, Moore, Wakely, Shelley, Young, Woolf, Keegan, Warrington, Miller, Watkins, Gibb, Coon, Hollings, Showier, Harvey, Nugent, McKenzie, Hardwick, Messrs.
