STEWARDS CHARGED.
ALLEGED THEFTS. SUM OF £710 INVOLVED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Two stewards, Frederick James and Peter John Frederick Ransom, 011 the Rangitane, which arrived from Southampton to-day, were charged before Mr. P. Ferner, S.M., with theft on the high seas, between Panama and Wellington, of drafts and money to a total value of £710, belonging to the New Zealand Shipping Company. They were remanded until Wednesday.
