CASH CYCLING.
AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Cycle Club's main attraction on Saturday was the 50 miles senior championship event held from Panmure to the bottom of the Great South Road deviation and back. The winner received the Worrall Cup. and the fastest rider the club's champion sash. A junior race of 6i miles was also decided. Good overhead conditions prevailed, but the contestants had to contend with a wind reaching gale force. Excellent fields competed. Twenty-eight seniors started In their race, which was a record season field. Result: A. Mackrell (15.30), 2h 32m 48s, 1: IC Edwins (15.30), 2h 32m 50s. 2; N. Healey (14.0), 2h 32m lis, 3; L. Thomas (ser). 2h lSin 545, 4. L. Thomas (scr) recorded fastest time in 2h 18m 545. Twelve started in the junior race, the placed men leading all the way, and in the sprint lengths separated them. Result: B. Collier (3.20),21.35, 1 ; L. Cunningham (3.20), 2; P. (jollier (3.20). 3; .T. Xeedham (50s), 4. h. Mitchell (scr) recorded fastest time in 20.15. GLOUCESTER CLUB.
